The Canada Job Grant is a government program used by employers to train new or existing employees for skills or jobs that need to be filled.
The Canada Job Grant can be used to cover the following training costs:
Any business – big or small, not-for-profits included, who plan to train Canadians for a new or better job can apply!

For those who qualify, Second Career Funding is a government program for those who have been laid off, to gain new skills and training to find employment in high demand fields.
Second Career may cover costs such as: tuition, textbooks, transportation, basic living costs and child care.

In the development of our CHR Program, we worked with communities to build a curriculum and training program with Community Health Representatives themselves that meets their learning needs. This program is also registered in our BC college.
Through our SE Career College of Health, we offer the Community Health Representative (CHR) Diploma Blended Delivery (BD) Program. This program has been developed to support CHRs who wish to minimize the time required to leave community and family to complete their CHR training. The program offers the best of face to face and virtual (online) education training. Students in the CHR BD program will learn through a combination of in person sessions, modules done at home and weekly Virtual Gatherings done through virtual technologies. Virtual technologies can include tele health and/or computer based meeting programs.

First Nation communities across Canada are seeking education that is relevant, accessible, and culturally safe, in order to meet significant health human resource shortages for Personal Support Workers (PSWs).
Through our SE Career College of Health, we offer the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma Blended Delivery (BD) Program. This program has been developed to support students who wish to minimize the time required to leave community and family to complete PSW training. The program offers the best of face to face and virtual (online) education training. Students in the PSW BD program will learn through a combination of in person sessions, modules done at home and weekly Virtual Gatherings done through virtual technologies. Virtual technologies can include tele health and/or computer based meeting programs.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive an SE Career College of Health Diploma and will be prepared to work in a variety of practice settings including home support, assisted living, residential/complex care, special care units, other home and community care settings and acute care.

Paying it Forward
We encourage our staff to take action and pay it forward. Each year, we give them $25 hope and happiness dollar to support them with their act of kindness. We continue to receive incredible stories each year from our staff on the impact we’re making in the lives of our clients, their families, and in the community.

Holiday Hope and Happiness
Each holiday season, SE Health runs a Holiday Hope and Happiness campaign enabling SE Health Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Therapists and Administrative Staff to purchase gifts or pay for a special holiday meal to help brighten the day of someone in need. Each year, hundreds of people receive heartfelt gifts hand-delivered by SE Health staff members.
